Unsatisfactory Dining Experience on 28 May 2025
I am disappointed regarding the dining experience I just had at your restaurant at approximately 8:00pm.
I ordered the Chic&SF Chanko and was served a prawn that was clearly not fresh. When I raised my concern to the staff and requested a replacement, I was told that it was a tiger prawn and that its appearance was normal. I have eaten tiger prawns on many occasions and I am well aware of how they should look and smell when fresh. Despite my insistence, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful.
Due to hygiene concerns, I requested the entire pot to be changed as I was unsure of the potential health risks from the spoiled prawn. Although the soup was eventually prepared again, the waiting time was long and the service throughout was subpar.
To make matters worse, when I left the restaurant after making the payment, the staff did not even acknowledge me with a simple thank you, which added to the overall unpleasant experience.
I believe in giving fair feedback and hope that you will look into this matter seriously to improve both the food quality and service standards for future patrons. Regrettably, based on this experience, I do not see myself returning or recommending your establishment.

Spicy seafood ramen looked nice in menu and tempting. I don't understand how it can called seafood when there is 4-5 clams and 2 pieces of squid. The taste is crap. The presentation is crap.

I tried the signature tendon bowl. Food here isn't that pricey, but there's much to be desired in the taste department.
It's a bit like eating at pizza hut vs going to a more authentic Italian place. It's just affordable and not that nice.

We walked into this restaurant around 1130am on a weekday and that was totally quiet and no customers so my cousins (3 of us)were shown to a seats that is closed to kitchen and we objected it and we asked to sit further away from the kitchen which was available but immediately this waitress was so annoyed and felt irritated showing us her black unhappy and unwilling face rattling her caged.
As we felt flabbergasterly offended and shocked by her attitude and manner as there’s no customer in the restaurant so why can’t we choose whatever seats we wanted?it’s such obnoxious and toxic service person to be in this service-oriented industry.
We were disappointed and left this place in exasperation and feeling utterly disgusted with her behaviour.
It ruined our outing and moods.
Shall never returned.

Had the ebi chicken tendon, which came with a bowl of miso soup (total $17+). Taste was ok. Decent but unimpressive. The ebi was crispy and fresh. The fried chicken is a karaage type one, and they heaped on mayo egg salad. Definitely not Makino-level (but few are). Service was cheerful, but the restaurant was a bit warm.

Only choose to walk in here & try cause mall is full of ppl. Ordered their spicy beef suki ramen. Terrible. Noodle is hard, soup is blend. Just spicy. Beef still ok. Had baby octopus as side dish. Was impressed at first as it was quite big portion for a side dish. I don't know what went wrong, it just taste weird as you eat. My worst ramen experience. Wasting my money & spoiling my mood.

Came here twice with my helper. Ordered their signature tendon, beef sukiyaki and chicken toji set. Tendon is served within 10 minutes, and is their most popular item. Other dishes take around 20 minutes.
Their tempuras are hot, soft, crispy, juicy and flavourful. They are generous with the variety and servings of tempura, including mushrooms, carrots, seaweed and meats fried and flavoured to perfection. However, they were stingy with rice. I find their rice a tad dry, and more signature sauce could be added for better flavour. Do note their spicy sauce is just Japanese chili powder added to the signature sauce.
Their beef sukiyaki is average at best. Portions of beef and vegetables are too small, and the sukiyaki base is really salty. You can reduce the saltiness by removing vegetables after they're boiled, and not drinking the base.
Their chicken toji is also average at best. Portions of chicken are too small. The fried chicken was tough and felt premade. The cheesy flavour is an acquired taste. The egg and sauce on the hotplate was okay, but had a light taste. Nonetheless, it complemented the rice well.
Their salad side was fine and vegetables (lettuce, tomato, corn) are fresh. Their Kewpie roasted sesame sauce tasted fine.
Their miso soup is inconsistent. It was really flavourful and rich the first time I went, but was really light and lacking the second time.
Service was decent and staff were friendly and helpful.
In short, I would never consider eating here unless I've friends and colleagues who can only eat halal food. Even so, I reckon there's better Japanese restaurants serving halal food.
If you absolutely have to eat here, you won't go wrong with their signature tendon.

Every tempura is freshly made. Don't understand why seaweed tempura cannot be freshly made. It's cold not nice to eat.

Order was easy. Service was prompt. Soup flavor was good. Noodle was Al dente. The amount of ingredient given was average. Overall, except the soup was abit salty, the meal was good.

Really the worst ramen ever. Regret trying this place. A total waste of money.
My boys who loved ramen and have tried so many restaurants and can’t even finished their bowl of noodle here, and told me it’s the worst ramen ever. They would give it zero star if they can. Really inedible.
To make things worse, service really CANNOT MAKE IT! There was a black face fat lady named Katherine, who just stood at the counter the whole time we were there. When I tried to get her attention to enquire regarding the if we can make the tendon from the menu a set meal , she stared at me as if she doesn’t work there. So I had to ask if she was working there, and she came over and gave me a flat “NO! to my enquiry. Really rude to the max!
Throughout there were only 2 servers busy serving food and attending to requests. A Chinese boy with specs and a Malay guy named Azmeen I think. They both were working hard serving meals and attending to customers. While this fat black face lady just parked herself in the cashier the whole time.

Food was excellent. The beef sukiyaki tastes fantastic and costs only $14.90! Total bargain.
Atmosphere was wonderful. Spacious seats and also nice jap music with the right amount of volume. Not too loud and not too soft.
Service was really good. The waiter guided on how to use the bunsen burner.
Overall. A pleasant experience and highly recommended!

Ordered the beef shabu spicy ramen.
The beef slices are thin and with the right amount of fats available.
The spicy ramen is the same price as the original ramen.
The half boiled egg is marinated with a tasty egg white.
However the soup base is quite filled with MSG and gets tired after a few spoons.
The hot tea is refillable.

Great Foods and Very Good Sevices. We were served by this waitress Moon, she is extremely friendly, helpful and very proactive in knowing what our needs are. Will definitely come again. Thanks Moon for the great services!
