Chen Kang Wellness NEX

I gave them a try because they have been at nex for a long time. However I am quite disappointed and left with an headache. Firstly masssue scratch my face twice on the first 5 min as he was on the phone. Secondly I have explicitly mention that I have enough of neck massage pls do more the back. He mention 30min is too short but yet still keep going back to press my neck.. eventually he over did my neck causing headache for the whole day. Thirdly, he was all over the place, lack of technique. On the flip side they gave me a sweet for the dizziness which is nice until they blame it on an empty stomach... In conclusion I felt men handled.. it was quite rough and could have been more sensitive to my needs, rather than assume my reactions as "I scared of tickling"(which I am not, it was uncomfortable, not ticklish) or my neck has some issues and continue to press harder despite already flagging out.

Should have read the review before walking in. The 2 stars are for the receptionist who is quite patient, and some masseur are helpful But the overall experience is really bad. Once booked, we were asked to go into the back of the shop - suppose to wash our feet ourselves at a corner, nobody was there to guide or assist us. I did body and foot massage. The back massage chair had a very old and sour smell. Masseur applied pressure, but i felt like a piece of marinated meat being anyhow press pressed. Half way they had to make calls to find another masseur. The masseur beside burped (loud enough) halfway. The other ladies were talking loudly I had to put on earpiece. My masseur pressed very hard when i started the foot massage, told him to lighten but he pressed even harder, thankfully his colleague realised i was in pain and use handsign and ask him lighter (turns out he had abit of hearing problem which i can understand).. I thought okay the experience was bad but not enough for to leave a bad review. Woke up in pain last night on my left feet like a nerve was sprained inside and now i couldnt walk properly. For the price paid and experience, i wouldnt go back again :(

The female massage therapist keep talking and talking to each other.. the whole place every noisy. Outside use shout and inside keep talking.. don’t feel any relax price also high. Don’t know what kind of massage place is this. Horrible max… won’t come again also free also won’t come. Totally is like MARKET PLACE. The middle female massages keep talking talking talking and not talking to customers is talking about her life etc. come on lah people come her spend money is to relax not come here HEAR U KEEP TALKING

Wished I could have given less than 1 star but that’s the least I could even provide. The staff on duty is horribly rude and full of herself. Wanted to ask her to contact management, she gave a million excuses and had a heck care attitude. Wrote to feedback to their management on their website but to ZERO reply. Very disappointed customer who used to enjoy the trip over. Management really needs to buck up and value add. Their heck care attitude is top notch!! No sevice but expect money!!! Terrible

Unprofessional service in all aspects. Receptionist pressures to sign up a new package even I have 5 more sessions to go. Threaten that if I do not sign up, the free 2 sessions in the existing package cannot be used. I read other reviews, it is true that I also experienced myself a few times that they do not reduce the strength even we make the request . Some therapists didn’t seem to be qualified especially the female Thai.

Receptionist - Liu had such a bad attitude did not check our package which includes shoulder massage. Informed masseuse that my massage included shoulder massage and asked him to check but he still did not check only until my time is up. They said that because I told them it’s a foot massage that’s why they did not include shoulder. As I bought my package from Serangoon gardens, they did not bother to check and just assumed it was foot. Nex service is really bad compared to gardens. Please never sign a package with them. Gardens service is significantly better. Thankfully the masseuse did some service recovery and did not charge extra for my shoulder massage. Will never come back to this outlet again.

Visited twice and both times, felt like the masseuses didnt know what they were kneading. It was also rather noisy as some of them chit chatted across the room. Hygiene was just bad, feet washing area was constantly wet and carpet stank. The male masseuse blew his nose twice and continued without washing his hands. The only saving grace was one of the younger lady at the recep was very polite and helpful. Nonetheless, won't recommend as there are other options out there.

Unprofessional female masseuse who saw that I had bunions on my feet and went on about how I should take care of them and wear a brace to straighten my my toes (it does not work that way) and even stretched my toes so much to a point where my feet cramped - Mentioned this to her so that she can stop and continue to do her job properly as a masseuse, she continued giving unsolicited advice on ‘caring’ for my feet. The overall experience was just unpleasant with her chit-chatting with the masseur next to her throughout the whole 40mins. The place looked decent and comfortable from the outside, unfortunately, the reality is far from that.

Totally Disgusting business technique - have 4 free foot reflexes which I overlooked by 3 days - wanted to use it at Thomson outlet (without realising it expired 3 days ago) - staff tried to sell me another new package but cannot extend the 4 freebies at this outlet - at the outlet I originally bought at NEX. Question asked would they extend them ? Yes no worries they will extend! My 6th sense prompted me to go over and get it extended first before I sign another package. Basically I have been signing packages with them for donkey years and was no issue plus no expiry dates. True to my concern, at the Nex outlet Yes sign up another package and will extend it! That was not what Thomson outlet staff said ! Yes you can sign up 2 packages was their reply ! Basically if you sign up we don’t extend ! This is the repayment for a loyal customer !! Lucky the choice for foot reflexologists is abundant !!!

Should have looked at Google reviews before going in. Booked foot massage. Take off your own shoes, walk in barefeet no slippers provided. Walk to dingly lit backroom and wash your own feet. They give u a old looking towel to wipe it yourself. Sit on chair and they do random things to your feet. Hit or miss. While chatting with their colleagues. 40mins up. Walked out feeling like it's the worst service ever. Wake up management.

Not going back there after visit their competitor at level 3. The feeling is very diff. Very noisy environment

I booked an hour but I left after half hour. Felt like I totally wasted time there. The masseur didn’t manage to hit any of the sore / tight spots on my shoulders and back, she tried to go over the areas generally instead of working on the problem areas... they still charged me $39 for it. I just paid and left. At the reception, the lady even retorted to me that the masseur have her own returning customers. Chen Kang used to have better quality people. Now their attitude and skill leaves much to be desired. Never going back ever.
