Waiters and waitresses are always hiding I don’t get to see them when you need them, even its a buffet they should go around for top of soup… i have to go to the kitchen entrance to hunt for them… never ever going again ….. restaurant are clean thou… you decide?!!! even it looks presentable from the outside as a restaurant…

I’m Shabu Sai lover but nex branch is give me alot of disappointed. The beef cut too think is not like shabu shabu kind, is bbq type, the pork is very chewy, unable to swollen!!! The staff is not proactive, the soup left 5% then come refill.
Not worth of money for today dinner!!!! And inside the table is super hot, eat with sweaty and must bring own fan to make yourself cool😅

I came for their off-peak special promo, $15.99 for adult on Mon-Thurs (2.46pm - 4.45pm) The staff was very attentive and accommodating, always checking on me if I needed any assistance. They always refill the food selections! The ingredients are fresh and value for the price ☺️

The food was delicious with a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and the ambience was cozy and relaxing. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Nothing has changed over the years. Maybe about $5 (+++) increase from pre-covid.
A little robot rolls around delivering the meat plates. This gives staff more time to attend to soup top-up etc.
Staff in this branch is friendly and efficient.
Buffet counter is the same as ever. Except today I didn't get my favourite chicken ball with cheese. I wonder if they still have it?

It was marketed as affordable yet still tasty hotpot buffet. Shabu sai delivered full marks.
Mala tomato soup wasn't that awesome though, we ordered for the novelty, tonkatsu soup was great.
Only downside was lack of variety although the food itself was tasty and fresh. Order to table timing was quick too with the robot waiter helping out.

I have it during the weekend dinner thus is more pricey. Their sukiyaki soup is suitable with the meat. They have 4 choices of meat which is chicken, 2 type of pork, 1 type of beef.
Ice cream machine broke down during our visit thus we didn’t get to try. Unlimited refill isn’t worth it although they gave discounted price from $2.50 to $2.

Meat are very tender and tastier with the soup too... so yummy 😋 😋😋.

I like the pork collar and beef slices especially when I eat them with a tinge of rice 🍚 or noodles. Also, a few green leafy vegetables 🥬 a slice of carrot 🥕 and some mushrooms 🍄 will do the trick in enhancing the flavour of my tonkatsu soup. They provide some fibre and vitamins too so it’s a wholesome affair :) thanks Floven for receiving my payment quickly and her pleasant interaction. Overall ✅ am happy to chance upon this restaurant in NEX!

Havent been to shabu sai since covid and decided to give the nex outlet a try for a weekday lunch.
Love the new app feature where you can order your soup and meat etc from the qr code so that you dont have to wait for the staff to serve you. They have a countdown timer in the app and you can be well aware of the time you have to eat. The order are served by the robot and it's super cute and made the dining experience fun.
Meat and veg are fresh. Love the condiments selection. You can opt for freeflow drinks and soft serve with a small fee topup.
Recommend for cheap fuss free hotpot!
