A small but cosy library in a busy shopping mall. Great for shoppers who need some rest and quiet time from the noisy mall.

I really like the Serangoon library because there is a specific section where there are about 15 seats alone (near the entrance) And I think that's very helpful. There also is a children's section for 10-12 year olds and a 6-8 year old section right next to the 10-12 section. They also have comics for people that like to read comics. Close to the entrance. They have this display of books and I've picked a few books from the display that I've liked so that's very nice. There is a fairly large section for Fiction and I am a Fiction fan so that's great for me. There are multiple computers there too. I don't know if it's the best place to study as a student though. But the library's location is really nice because just one level down (after you exit the library) there's a mall. I personally really like the mall because there's a Fair Price Xtra, restaurants, gadget stores and more. I wish there were more isolated seats instead of many at a certain section. The location outside of the library and mall is also nice because there is a bus station and a taxi station. Overall I would say that the Serangoon library is a very nice library to visit.

RUDE staff. Too many ppl not reading and sitting on the sofa to rest or use phone so no seats available. Found a desk seat so i moved a chair over for my 2 children as there are no 2 tables side by side that are available. One staff came and asked me who removed the chair i said i did. She said cannot move chair and told me the seats need to be booked. I was sure most if not all the ppl sitting there did not book the seat. Note there saying have to give up the seat to someone if the seat is booked. So i told her ok i understand and quickly moved my child and place the chair back to the original place. But she kept NAGGING on it at a mum who's busy minding her children! How annoying and rude! NAGGING even while im moving back the chair. TO THE MANAGEMENT please if u do not want ppl to remove the chairs please put a notice there!

The library on weekends saturday to sunday is turning into a nursery.. and children and seniors are removing chairs as and when they like until the librarians cant manage.. new visitors to the library needs to be educated about the rules and regulations or create a "conditions of library".. similar to the transportation "conditions of carriage".. You better send some reinforcement incase the people who visit become hostile and fight. And the library needs to be rearranged. Seating places and those conducting training and one where children are should not be near each other. They need to be properly divided to allow a pleasant experience.. now its like an airport departure loudge.. or hospital waiting area.. We need to sound proof areas conducive for learning and training by those teaching seniors and for children should they scream and shout.. One last thing.. the wireless@sgx is very weak and drops when heavy usage... those with overseas number and prepaid cards have difficulty setting up the wireless connections while at the library. Only apple and android support.. microsoft also depends.. huawei.. no support..

Horrible Library, poor selection of books any library is way better than this library. Furthermore, the environment is cramped and not conducive for reading.

Library is terrible. Staff are unhelpful and the system ties you in knots if it's "undergoing maintenance." We just wasted a huge amount of time going here.

Have not come to this branch since it was renovated. I like the new concept. Spacious with lots of seats. I was expecting a lots of youngsters who are on school holiday but it’s quiet and comfortable.

First time needing to use the printer at the library, and one the lady staff patiently guided me through the process of creating an account and using the workstation, and then came back later to check that I managed to complete the printing.
