17/5/2025 I’ve been visiting Dr. Karan Singh every six months for the past two years on a friend’s recommendation, and I’ve always had a positive experience with him. However, during my most recent appointment on 15 May at 12:30pm, I was surprised to find that I was scheduled with a different dentist Dr. Wong instead. I wasn’t informed in advance about this change. Since I already had the appointment booked and couldn’t wait for the next available slot with Dr. Karan Singh, I decided to proceed and give it a try with Dr. Wong. She was gentle, but what shocked me was how quickly everything was done. I was called in around 12:36pm and was already out by 12:55pm. That duration included both the scaling and polishing as well as our brief conversation. I even asked, “So fast?” because I’ve never had such a quick session in all my past dental visits. What made the experience worse was the attitude I encountered at the reception counter. When I asked why I wasn’t scheduled with Dr. Karan Singh, the staff told me I hadn’t indicated a preference. I explained that I’ve always seen the same doctor, but she kept insisting the system didn’t show any such indication. When I raised the concern about the short session, her tone became defensive. She firmly stated it was 30 minutes and asked me which part I don't feel clean? She offered to get the dentist to redo the cleaning if I felt it was incomplete. Honestly, based on my experience with various dental clinics over the years, a standard cleaning session has always taken at least 30 minutes not including consultation time. So either every other dentist I’ve seen is doing extra work, or something felt off about this session. If there is any doubt, I encourage the clinic to check the CCTV footage for 15 May, 12:30pm, to verify the time frame. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that I felt the need to update my previous positive reviews. My advice to others: if you have a preferred dentist, be sure to explicitly request them during booking. I also hope the clinic can work on improving the reception staff’s communication and attitude. ============================== 11/4, I called up to book an appt for 20/4 with Dr. Karan Singh. The front counter might have missed out which I already indicate my back tooth have chipped off beside just having scaling and polishing. I am glad Dr. Karan Singh willing to do that for me after fixing my back tooth even though they are quite packed. 🙏 I am someone can be quite freak out when comes to dental n I'm glad Dr. Karan Singh is very professional, gentle and super patient. Guess I would leave my teeth under his care after this round. 👍 Lastly, the dental assistance is helpful and friendly too. 😃
