The restaurant has a clean, inviting atmosphere, perfect for family dinners or gatherings & it also mean noisy as well😁 The staff was attentive & responsive Ordered a set for 2. It came with 2 portion of golden coackel fish. Fresh ingredients & quality for the pricing.

Made a reservation for a table of five, so there was minimal waiting time. The service staff were attentive and offered helpful recommendations. Every dish was flavourful, and notably, it didn’t seem to contain MSG as I didn’t feel thirsty afterward. A quiet and comfortable spot, perfect for a good catch up.

EXCELLENT SERVICE Walked past Putien NEX numerous times but first time we had dinner here (2 tables of 8 pax each) today 24 May 2025, Saturday. The lead waitress Charlene was extremely friendly and helpful to recommend a set meal for us. She was very attentive in serving us tea and placing the soup and fried bee hoon into individual bowls for us. She anticipated our needs by offering to 打包 some leftovers even before we requested and cleared the table of the plates and utensils before serving dessert. What a wholesome dining experience and it is obvious the excellent service made all the difference. Will definitely return to Putien NEX and look for Charlene when I want to have a relaxing and enjoyable dinner.

PUTIEN NEX: A Mostly Satisfying Fujian Meal 4 out of 5 stars Ratings: • Food: 4/5 (Most dishes excellent; flavorful and well-prepared; minor issues with wok hei and drink temperature) • Service: 4/5 (Attentive and pleasant) • Ambiance: 4/5 (Pleasant and bustling atmosphere) • Overall: 4/5 My recent dinner with colleagues at PUTIEN NEX was quite enjoyable. The restaurant had a pleasant, bustling atmosphere, and the service was generally attentive and friendly. We started with the Fujian Seafood Lor Mee, which was delicious. The gravy was rich and flavorful, perfectly coating the noodles and seafood. It was comforting and satisfying, although perhaps a bit heavy. Next, we tried the Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon. While lacking the intense wok hei I typically prefer, the bee hoon was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients were fresh and well-balanced. It was also pleasingly not oily. We also had the Seasonal Vegetable in Superior Stock a simple yet well-executed dish. The vegetables were tender crisp, and the light broth offered a nice counterpoint to the richer dishes. Our drinks included the Tie Guan Yin and Chrysanthemum Tea with Wolfberries, both refreshing and complementary to the meal. The chrysanthemum tea was particularly soothing. We also tried the Home cooked Pearl Barley with Wintermelon, which was light and refreshing. However, the Ice Blended Coconut Red Bean drink wasn't cold enough, which was disappointing. For dessert, we had the Brown Sugar Lava Rice Cake, which was delicious and not overly sweet. Overall, PUTIEN NEX provides a solid dining experience with well-prepared Fujian cuisine. While a couple of minor issues (lack of wok hei and drink temperature) slightly impacted the experience, the high quality of ingredients and cooking is evident. I'd recommend it for a generally satisfying and flavorful meal.

Service was awesome yet no service charge! A good restaurant with no GST no service charge. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the restaurant is very spacious. We went there for my sis birthday and they have free mee sua, with reading us an auspicious word while serving the mee sua. Thank you so much. And kids dine in free, what do I mean? They provide kids meals with no charges.

We had lunch at Putien NEX today 2/15, the set menu for lunch seems reasonable. The food came relatively fast. But dessert took a while. Service was slightly above average. Could be better. Dish sizes are on the smaller side. Overall still a good place to have a decent family meal.

Food quality seemed to have dropped for putien? Lychee pork comes with just 2 pieces of lychee. Plating was shoddy. Beehoon didn’t have much ingredients. Lor mee noodle soup was also not flavorful. Mackerel fried fish was super thin. Kailan with fried beancurd still was also very ordinary tasting and average. Restaurant manager who showed us to the table was good, however the service staff from China who served at our table was low key irritating, assuming the size of the dish which we wanted.

It's oyster season at Putien. Shucked immediately upon collection, Putien's oysters are nutritious as they absorb micro-organisms and nutrients from the sea, harvested during their prime from autumn to spring, which also makes them fresh and plump. We had the Deep-fried Oyster with Dried Chilli, and the Crispy Oysters, with the latter stealing the show — perfectly battered with a mixture of egg and tapioca starch, maintaining a crisp, golden exterior while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Served with a subtle yet flavourful dipping sauce, this dish showcases the balance between texture and taste that is often hard to achieve with seafood.

The orh luah (oyster omelette) dish and sesame bun with pork & onions are both on my recommended list. The rest of the food were OK. Service staff was prompt and polite, and there was no GST & service charge Worth the SGD109 for 3 pax and 5 dishes.
