I called to make a reservation and specifically asked for a senior hairstylist. Instead of offering any recommendations, the staff just asked what time I wanted to book. Most of the good stylists have already left, I honestly wonder how much longer this salon can last

Our experience was humiliating. It started right from the entry. When we provided the reference photo, the stylist didn’t bother a second for even a glance. Throughout the appointment, we felt neglected and demeaned. When they started cleaning and blow-drying, we thought they were still working, only to realize they had finished. The result did not meet our expectations. If that’s the way someone approach the customer, I wonder why it is called “service”. Additionally, the service was as disappointing as the haircut, and the prices are too high for the quality provided. There was also a miscommunication about the prices when we inquired by phone, and we ended up being charged more than what was quoted. The approach and conduct were unprofessional throughout. A sour experience overall.

I’ve been going to this place for years, not cos of their fantastic work but purely out of convenience. However, my recent experience with Victo was horrible, and I’ll not be returning.
It was my 2nd time coloring my hair and cutting my hair with him, and I told him I wanted a dark cool tone color, similar to what he did for me a few months back, and showed him the photos. As it turns out, the color he dyed for me was brighter than what he did a few months back, and brighter than what I wanted. When I told him abt it, he insisted that it was exactly the same, and refused to admit that the color was indeed brighter. I have photos to compare, and I can clearly remember as well, but he kept insisting that it was EXACTLY the same. When I continued showing him photos of my hair from few months ago, he insisted that those photos were taken weeks after I colored my hair, and I had to show him the timestamp of the photos to prove him wrong.
Seeing that he was unwilling to admit that he made a mistake and the color was different from what I wanted, I gave up and kept quiet as he still had to cut my hair. While cutting my hair, he kept complaining that my hair was very “hard” and basically made comments to make me feel bad about myself. My hair quality might not be the best, but no hairstylist had ever said it “hard” before. 🤷🏻♀️
Of course, not to mention having to wait for at least 15 minutes despite making an appointment and arriving on time. They had some good stylists before, but unfortunately in the past 2-3 years, the stylists have all left the salon. Perhaps this is also a telling sign.

Just sharing this experience because it personally traumatized me. I had previously gotten a very bad hair cut and had wished to rectify and salvage what I could with my hair and decided to come NEX as I had to run some other errands as well.
When I had arrived at the counter, a lady with curly hair and glasses told me to sit and await for a hair dresser to attend to me. However, looking around and observing - I realized that a hair dresser had just finished up one of the clients. The lady with glasses proceeded to tell the hair dressor that I was waiting for a hair dressor but the man had simply laughed and went to find another client to talk to, laughing and chatting away.
I then proceeded to wait for 15-30 minutes only to leave hurt and disappointed as none of the hair dressors despite not being rush hour or having many clients did not bother to attend to me or clarify for the waiting period.
Just sharing an experience I had that I do not wish upon others but just a word of caution if you are considering having a hair cut here.

Had a very bad experience with manager at nex outlet on handing query on miscommunication on price issue. Instead of checking on the wrong information given by their staff, he told customer it is like that hence you need to accept, not our problem, keep insisting you need to accept the situation and not put effort to investigate the issue. Instead I will advise as a management level staff, it is not about money but make it a priority to avoid miscommunication and accepting feedback from the customer to better your service? I will not recommend for customer to sign any package due to misexpectation on service level by manager at outlet. Will try to finish and move on to other hair saloon. I am unsure if this manager has any real management skill other than his haircut skill. I mentioned that I will have to leave a bad review online and warn my friends and family. He said go ahead lor with a don’t care altitude face and rolled his eyes. I am not sure if you business owner you will treat your customer like that,
hiring such staff to handle your store management . The manager is a tall male with backcomb dyed brown hairs, he scare he will ask boss to call me, not sure it will happens, I will see. Sign package at this place at your own care... high price for bad services.

One word. HORRENDOUS.
I had made a prior appointment with hairstylist Willis and when I arrived at the salon, I was asked to take any empty seat to wait for “awhile” (they said). 45 minutes passed, 3-4 hairstylists sat at the reception area chatting and giggling among themselves, using phones, even the hairstylist himself (Willis) who was busy with another customer did not seem to acknowledge me as his customer.
Thinking that he would be ending his work with that customer soon, I waited patiently. And I finally stood up and left the salon with huge disappointment despite leaving behind a $500 credit package.
At other salons, staff would have attended to me while I am waiting for the stylist. Simple procedures like hair wash, hair drying would have been performed even before the stylist attends to me.
I thought teamwork makes the dreamwork. Sadly, HAIR INN at Serangoon NEX doesn’t have that. Not even basic courtesy to communicate with the customers about what their needs were. I am absolutely disappointed with the service at HAIR INN (Serangoon NEX) and I advise anyone to think thrice and thrice before spending their money there. #horribleexperience #notworthit #teamworkzero #atyourownriskplease

I was recommended by a close friend to contact hairstylist CK after trying at least 5-6 places for my teenage boy (he always ends up disappointed and even attempted or trim his own hair after the hair cuts). I didnt dare to book CK too close to school reopening in case my boy doesn’t like the hair cut again and there’s time for his hair to grow out a bit. But for the first time, my boy whatsapped me to say he wants to return to CK for his future haircuts cos he likes the way CK cut his hair very much. CK also alerted me about my boy’s scalp condition and how to take care of his dry scalp. I’m happy that my boy finally has someone he trusts for his hair cuts. Thank you CK! :)

I was introduced to Hair Inn by my ex-hairstylist who had decided not to continue working in Singapore and recommended me to look for another hairstylist named C.K to give it a try.
So, I must say that the hairstylist C.K indeed know his cut very well, professional, and could see his experience in his styling. Kudos to Hair Inn.
I would like to emphasize first that this is only based on my personal views and preferences which I believe the liking of a certain haircuts & the choice of hairstylist(s) are definitely not a one size fits all thing. But, for me, I find C.K is good so will go back to Hair Inn to specifically look for him again 😊👍
Also, I realized that there are a few hairstylists who are freelance in the salon so to avoid disappointment, I would suggest you to book an appointment with the specific hairstylist you wanted first before heading down, if possible.

Finally found a very good and friendly hairstylist CK TEE from XHS, and he now work at Hair Inn Nex, today made an appointment with him.
He will give you a very good haircut and suggestions, like how to set your hairstyle, how to take care of your hair and etc. Finally walk out from the salon with a very good hair style.

Well priced hair cut and staff were friendly despite having a busy day (sat me down and even made me a drink while I waited! That was my bad, I came early hurhur).
