It’s a place without aircon, while charging a premium for the environment and the standard of their coffee have dropped, it’s almost like water. I can do better with 3 in 1 coffee

It’s been years that this Serangoon outlet’s kopi was not nice but I thought to give it another try as I thought they would improve on feedback and the reviews. However, there’s no improvement on the coffee. I ordered the soya kopi O today. It’s totally diluted and tasteless for $3.70. Definitely the worst outlet

Warm, hot, humid, expensive, not authentic taste, self service. First time went to this outlet, quite disappointed with their outlet design. Ordered set A. 2 big egg yolks with 1 Kaya and butter bread cut into 4 small piece. Although the butter is large but I don't feel it's worth the price for daily consumption. They do accept AIA Vitality voucher, Paywave, cash

Always a reliable stop at Ya Kun Coffee, NEX. I’ve been a regular here for a while. The place used to feel quite stuffy and cramped, but the environment has definitely improved in recent times. The coffee remains strong, robust and satisfying, and the toast is still crispy and tasty—just the way I like it. Service can be a bit inconsistent, but overall it’s a convenient spot, especially being right near the MRT and located inside the mall. A solid option for a quick kopi pitstop.

This outlet makes the best kopi siew dai. Toast is also on-point, toasted with just enough crunch and ice cold butter inside. Best spot for a coffee break in NEX!

Convenient place to get breakfast at Nex Serangoon as it’s just outside the mall’s mrt purple line exit. The soft boiled eggs are cooked really well and the tea is really fragrant. The coffee however, I found a little over roasted. I also really enjoyed the kaya peanut butter toast. Maybe difficult to find seats during peak breakfast periods but the turnover rate of the customers is pretty quick.

The coffee was tasty and served warm, the eggs were perfectly done, and the kaya toast was crispy with just the right amount of sweetness. A comforting and consistent breakfast spot!

Eggs and kopi was not the usual ya kun standard. Eggs were not the usual well rounded half boiled, the kopi was bitter, watery and lacked any kopi fragrance. Bread was still good though with a thick crunch of the butter! Sorely disappointed with the experience today. Square stools were "rocking", sat on one and tested the next one next to me was also rocking, please do some internal audit, thanks.

Came to this branch only to have my toast (butter and sugar) to have some peanut butter added and I am allergic to peanut butter. Not only did the staff not seem consider, they did not do anything much. My wife ordered kopi C with no sugar and lo and behold, the staff happily added sugar. This is one ya Kun outlet that definitely not worth the visit

I’ve been regular at Ya Kun for years and generally enjoy the food and service. However, I had a confusing experience at the Nex outlet today when I requested an extra ramekin of kaya. One staff member checked with a colleague (wearing a black cap), who said I needed to pay $1. Another staff member and the cashier seemed unsure, saying they hadn’t charged for this before. The conversation between the team happened in Mandarin, right in front of me and it was clear there was some internal disagreement about the policy. Ultimately, the request was declined unless I paid. If this is a new policy, that’s understandable but it would really help if it were clearly communicated to both staff and customers to avoid misunderstandings. A simple sign or explanation would go a long way. Hope this can be clarified going forward.
