I ordered the curry chicken pepper rice with cheese, and it was good. It looked fancy with the sizzling presentation and tasted great. The only issue was that the quantity wasn’t sufficient for me.

(+) Food is good. (+) Price is reasonable. (-) It's really not worth paying extra for the long beans – the serving is literally just two strands. (-) The queue system is so chaotic I ended up queueing twice. (-) Service is slow. (-) It's a typical food court, so it's a little noisy during peak hours.

Complaint against staff: Elaine Visited on: Wed 25th June, 1230pm. Elaine took away what seemed to her like a finished plate which i don’t disagree. But i was in fact not finished eating my meal. And Elaine had no decency or common sense to ask if i was done with my meal and simply took it away from me. I have worked in FNB before and it is absolutely rude and unacceptable to either interrupt customers when they are in the midst of eating. Or to clear the table without the customers permission. I paid for the meal, so yes i want to finish every bit of my meal. So why did Elaine have no common sense to ask me before clearing my table. If Elaine is not to be blamed. Then why is she only taught to clear tables, but not taught to ask the customers if they’re ready for their tables to be cleared. Mind you it is not even their closing time.

I came here to leave a good review because I was enjoying my time here (first time visit). Was surprised to read all the bad reviews (probably because peak hour). I was here during off peak and enjoyed the service. I originally wasn’t intending to eat here but the auntie stationed at the self-serve kiosks too good at promoting and upselling lol. I spent $22 here, had jumbo salmon pepper rice set with added cheese and edamame. I think that the Pepper Lunch in this location is trying to shed the budget restaurant image and offer more premium options. The salmon was surprisingly fresh and flavourful? The decor was nice and modern. Seemed like the staff enjoy working here too as they joke with each other during periods with less customers. Staff also helpful with good service, one staff saw me walking to return my tray and took it from me. Not cheap but I’ll be coming back. At least the quality and value is better than some of the other Japanese restaurants in Nex, like that one Japanese restaurant that is one storey directly above…..

I ordered Pepper Lunch at NEX at 5:20 PM, as shown on my receipt, and my experience was utterly unacceptable. The service was a disaster, with rude staff (specifically a male staff member, big-sized, who stood out for his lack of professionalism). I waited for 30 minutes for my order—a SINGLE order—while multiple customers who ordered after me received their food first. Peak hour or not, this is completely unacceptable and shows a failure in basic queue management. I considered canceling my order, but no one was even present at the counter to assist. Reluctantly, I decided to give them a few more minutes to sort things out, but nothing happened. My patience ran out, and I approached the counter to demand a refund. The male staff had the audacity to tell me to "wait and be patient." Excuse me? I already waited long enough while others were served multiple times. When I asked for a refund, they had the nerve to reject my request. The manager came over but only told me to wait again. Suspiciously, after just a minute, the food magically appeared. If my order was ready, why was I made to wait endlessly, and why was it skipped in the first place? To make things worse, the food was cold and poorly prepared, as if it had been thrown together carelessly. This completely defeats the purpose of fast food. How does such lazy and disorganized service even happen in a place like this? The male staff clearly lacked any effort or responsibility to check on orders or ensure quality service. This was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Something needs to change in how this branch operates because this level of incompetence and poor service is unacceptable. I demand a refund

Before shopping I had lunch time at Food Junction located 4th Floor NEX Serangoon Central, convenient accessable by public transportation & Serangoon MRT. I enjoyed Salmon & Chicken Combo at Pepper Lunch Express with Honey, Brown Sauce (蜜汁甜酱), a bit of Garlic Soy Sauce (蒜香酱油), delicious savory flavours, I added in with the ingredients, very tasty & flavorful 😋 yummy ☘️🤗 Atmosphere with ambience cleanliness & spacious around 🥹🙏🌿

I received very bad service from Allan, I ordered food, he asked me “set or alacarte”I Alredy replied “set” he shouted to me “ you don’t need to shout” Please check your camera where did I shout? I take his picture as I want to make complain to company, he shouted to me again “ I will make police report” I will wait for his police report, please take some action, I believe I’m not the first guest receiving all these and staff will get full training too.

Recently I took my wife and kids to have dinner at pepper lunch and the experience tour quite sour. First and foremost The food quality seem to be degraded over the years as well as the portion size. It doesn't justified the prices of the item Secondly The server that serve us was extremely rude, for some reason he raised his voice loud enough for other diners to stare at us and it was an embarrassing moment to be out under the spotlight like that, we only brought our own drinks inside that wasn't opened it felt as if he was directly scolding my wife as she was only putting the outside drinks into our plastics bags for safe keeping. It completely ruined the moment for our family.. This male server wore a cap, with black thin-frame glasses with mixture of whitish-greyish strands of hair on the sides, looking late fifties. There was also two female customers as well that wasn't familiar with pepper lunch and they wasn't aware that there a queue... And he simply raised his voice that there is a queue and to go to the back of the queue very rudely. The two female customers expression look very shocked from the interection and the tone wasn't very nice.

Worst ever. Surprised it's still surviving. This is food according to Singapore franchise model. Beautiful set-up in air-conditioned food court, beautiful photography that's all that's positive. Food cooked by grumpy spass folks you should pay $10 if you want to induce vomiting or destroy your digestive tract.
