Gokoku Japanese Bakery @ NEX Mall I never leave NEX Mall without picking up something from Gokoku Japanese Bakery. Their breads are made with high-quality ingredients, and you can really taste the difference. Some of the buns have a delightful mochi-like texture that sets them apart from regular bakery fare. My go-to choices are their red bean paste filled buns and toast—soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The bakery is tucked in the section of the mall with mostly Japanese eateries, making it easy to spot if you're craving authentic Japanese bakes. Definitely worth a visit for bread lovers.

I don’t know why but I always love the breads from Gokoku. The breads are always chewy and soft and sort of nutritious. Today we saw the breads out in the open 😭 they looked very good. We got the mentaiko, the shirifumi and the malt kurumi (walnutty one). In terms of texture, the malt bread wins but the others are just so chewy. There’s also the white toast which I believe would taste amazing as well The fig jam was also quite sweet but it wasn’t artificial tasting. There were real pieces of fig in it.

Conveniently situated in front of the escalator, this bakery caught my attention. I picked up a few breads to try, and while the prices were on the higher side, the bread was soft with a great texture.

Located at the prominent spot of the Japanese food street of NEX. Don't think 6pm is late but like 2 rows are empty. All the rave bread are gone so I just picked 4 to see if it wowed my plalate. Overall, the bread is soft, fragrant and savoury. Worth the price but not everyday basis.

So far I have tried the mochi cheese, the walnut, the brown sugar ones and the cheesecake croissant. And I find their textures really bouncy and fragrant. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Bread quality is good and ingredients fresh. It's becoming my to go place for a simple breakfast. Oh the tea scones are good too.

I love the bread here especially the yuzu walnut. Leaving a review to compliment Yee Lian who was extremely friendly and professional in her service.

One of my favourite bakery finally opened near my place! Saves the trouble of visiting the one at Great World. I love the breads they are so well made and love the freshness and the flavours. They have their own top 5 but I hardly buy those I have my own. The coronet is definitely the item I would recommend and its definitely well loved for all ages. The mochi couverture is something nice if you like a chewy feeling eating a bread. The chocolate one is not sweet and is pretty tasty. I always have problem leaving the shop because I always buy more than I originally intended. I have more of a sweet tooth and usually only like sweet pastries but the savoury ones here has also won me over. Definitely a good buy as the items are reasonably priced.

I only bought two breads and I received impeccable service and kind gesture from the female cashier. After payment, cashier noticed me carrying two hot soups and she suggested to give me a big carrier for me to place two hot soups together with the two apple breads. The young lady shows great consideration for others, making a pleasant experience at the bakery store. Thank you. 🙏

Happiness whenever I walked into Gokoku Japanese Bakery to shop for my breakfast and afternoon tea break, everything looks and sounds so appetizing. Their buns are made using quality Japanese ingredients and hearty grains essential for daily nutrients. Spotted something new when I visited to their outlet yesterday. The all-NEW Ham Tamago Bun is filled with Japanese-style egg mayonnaise, savoury ham & sweet ketchup. Can’t resist to get a few pieces back for my family to try it. If you have not tried their bakery before, their crowd favourite GKK Signature buns include: ▪️Gokoku Shichifuku (Wholesome combination made with Japanese brown rice flour, sunflower seeds, malt, oatmeal, linseed & soybeans rich in minerals & dietary fibe) ▪️Malt Kurumi (Hearty soft bun with high fibre ingredients like malt, oatmeal, soybeans and walnut) ▪️Mochi Mochi Cheese (Soft & chewy bun filled with diced cheese) ▪️Signature Red Bean (Soft bun with high quality, Hokkaido chunky red bean paste) ▪️Mochi Mochi Cranberry (Fragrantly soft & chewy bun filled with cranberry and a light butter flavour) Location: Great World, Jurong Point, Millenia Walk, NEX and Tampines Mall outlets. #gokokujapanesebakery #RES #breakfast #buns #breadlovers #japanesebakery #hamtamagobun #burpple #burpplesg #burpproved #burppletastemaker

One of my favourite bakery! Larger and more variations as compared to the Millenia Walk outlet. Highly recommend the Mochi Cheese Bread (packed with mini cubes of cheese) and the Shio Butter Pan (omg this is soooo simple but chewy and buttery and so good)!
