Tried Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice once. Food is fine. But [personal preference], I prefer my chicken rice chilli zesty & spicy.
This time we had the Chicken Rice + Hotpot combo, which after GST was ard $47+ after taxes. Which we felt was pretty reasonable.
We went with Steamed Chicken & the hotpot soup, we had Clear Tomyum soup (less spicy).
Chicken was okay, no gamey smell, just there was a fair share of bones.
Tomyum soup tasted a little salty. But ingredients for 2 pax were quite generous. Which had three prawns, some beef slices, an egg, cabbage, water spinach (kangkong), enoki mushroom, tanghoon (vermicelli glass noodles), squid, fish pieces (not slices, which is good!).
By the time the steamboat came, we are almost finishong our chicken rice.
I think if you're 3 small to medium eaters, yeah, this set will feed you comfortably.

Had a simple chicken rice meal here. Selected chicken breast meat. The rice was nice and the chilli great, but the chicken breast was quite cold and hard. Not sure if it's the aircon environment but I can easily name better white chicken breast. Still, not bad lah, but not sure if Michelin grade. Then again, who am I to judge?😜

Affordable pricing.
Fast service with cold food. Idk there's a jelly-like substance under the skin.
Ok atmosphere with BOH loud sounds akin to crowded foodcourt. Too much pepper in soup to fool the taste buds.
Staff ignoring and chatting when making payment. Disappointed at fnb current scene.

Poor customer service, the staff has been so grumpy to us since when we ordered to the point that we already wanted to backout. Her voice was not audible thus I asked her to repeat the inclusions of the set but instead she almost threw the menu on me and her choices of words were rude. The worst part was at around 9:30pm, my parents are still finishing their drinks however they made us feel to leave as they started taking the plates from our table without asking us.

Awarded the Bib Gourmand—and for a good reason. You won’t be disappointed. Chicken rice is a typical meal in Singapore, but this one stands out from the rest. The chicken is tender, flavorful, and the rice is fragrant. Yes, it’s almost double the price compared to hawker stalls, but for the quality, I’d say it’s worth it. Great for those who want to try something familiar yet elevated.

We visited the restaurant for dinner and were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the overall dining experience. Our meal started with their signature chicken rice, which came with half a chicken—perfectly poached, juicy, and tender, served with aromatic, flavorful rice that had clearly been cooked in rich chicken broth. The accompanying sauces added just the right kick and depth to each bite.
Next, we had the sambal kangkong, a classic stir-fried water spinach dish that delivered a bold and spicy punch. The sambal was vibrant, well-balanced, and brought out the natural flavor of the greens without overpowering them. The sweet and sour fish was another standout—lightly battered and fried to a golden crisp, then coated in a tangy sauce that was both appetizing and refreshing. It offered a great contrast of textures and flavors.
The cashew chicken brought a delightful mix of sweetness and nuttiness, with tender chicken pieces stir-fried in a savory sauce, paired with crunchy cashews and vegetables. Every bite was rich, balanced, and comforting.
To round off the meal, we indulged in their signature Thai cendol. It was a beautiful, cooling dessert served in a generous portion—smooth coconut milk, pandan jelly, red beans, and shaved ice all came together to create a sweet, refreshing end to the dinner.
Service throughout the evening was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and dishes arrived quickly despite the busy hour. The ambience of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a comfortable setting that made it ideal for both casual meals and small gatherings. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly return to explore more from their menu.

Extremely bad service. Dishonest establishment. Mediocre food.
We ordered 2 half chickens. But instead of giving us a half chicken, we were instead served 2 plates of 90% chicken breast.
We feedbacked to the manager, and her choice of service recovery is to argue her way out. Look at other reviews. We are apparently not the only ones facing this issue. Dishonest tactics to get rid of their unwanted chicken parts.
There's also nothing special about their chicken rice as well. Go to any chicken rice stall elsewhere, and you can get a better chicken rice. Not to mention cheaper as well.

Food is overall nice, but the standard varies from time to time. Staffs can improve on their service as I feel that they are not very proactive.
Takeaway can be a headache because they won’t call you to pick up the food despite the food being ready at the counter. A lot of times, I have to approach the staff at the counter to find out that my food was ready for collection for quite awhile. Oh wells…

Above average roast chicken rice. Prawn cakes were tasty and had a tasty bouncy mouthful. The Thai chendol tasted pretty bad this time round compared to numerous earlier visits. On another visit, the curry vegetables were good but omelette was rather mediocre. Overall still a nice environment to have chicken rice in.
